Miniature circuit breaker accord. to UL508 and CSA-22.2 Nr. 14

Not all ULs are the same!


A large part of the switching devices available on the market only comply with the UL1077 standard. This means they are only allowed to be manufactured by a UL-certified switchgear manufacturer (UL panel shop). The switching device is merely recognised i.e. the finished switchgear system must additionally be approved by an UL inspector. It must not be switched on or off under load!

ABL SURSUM switching devices are listed in the USA and Canada according to UL508 and every approved electrical installation company or switchgear manufacturer is permitted to install our switching devices. Furthermore, switching-on and off under load is permitted. (“motor disconnecting means”).

Even group fusing *) in the European way is tested and approved for the switching devices listed under UL 508. Thus, a considerably wider field of application can be covered!
