CEE-Plug connections - convincingly perfect

Connections that remain sealed
Cold, damp or dirt – daily work always creates new endurance tests in which only sophisticated products can survive unscathed. CEE plug connections from ABL SURSUM in degree of protection IP67 are made of high-quality technical plastics (PA6 or PC/ABS) and have special characteristics for extreme applications. Excellent impact resistance with a high degree of stiffness and strength are characteristic of our products - just like their high chemical resistance to many standard chemicals. Our products are, of course, free of cadmium and halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine) and conform to the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EG.

Connections which stand up to all sorts of weather
Neither extreme heat nor cold can harm ABL SURSUM products. They have a temperature resistance of -25 °C to +80 °C, short-term (= up to 1 hour) even up to +100 °C, and thus significantly exceed the requirements set down in IEC/EN 60309. High weather resistance increases the level of quality with very good insulation characteristics and sets almost no limits when it comes to use. Great grip in any weather and in any situation – even with gloves.

Connections which are perfectly stable
CEE plug connections from ABL SURSUM not only hold steady, they are also highly resilient. Their high disruptive strength, high wear resistance and great stability against external mechanical wear are just some of their advantages. Of course, they easily fulfil the specified IK codes conforming to EN 50102. Their long life ensures an efficient investment in the highest quality.

Connections that stay safely together
Safety is a top priority at ABL SURSUM. This is as true for installation as it is for servicing. Holders prevent unintended withdrawal via snapping-in of the hinged lid into the retaining lug or slot as well as the tried and true bayonet system in protection class IP67. Innovative cable screw connections with integrated strain relief, locking and kink protection, injected undetachable seals and closed, easy-to-clean surfaces are further quality characteristics which define our products.

Connections which make excellent contacts
There is nothing more important in electronic engineering than perfect contacts. The copper zinc alloy pins create the best contact connections with a high electric conductivity. Highly heat resistant contact supports with nickel-plating ensure an increased level of corrosion resistance in aggressive environments such as sea water, water vapour, industrial environments, sulphur compounds, agriculture etc which has proven itself in practice over the years.

Connections that are always one step ahead of the rest
Decades of practical experience and professionalism are what have earned our research and development department recognition throughout the electronics branch. We orient ourselves on the requirements of hard daily routines, extreme environments and the requirements of national and international customers. ABL SURSUM develops and designs products which not only simplify work-flows and save both time and costs, but also increase workplace safety. CEE plug connections from ABL SURSUM correspond to the relevant national and international standards and are continuously intensively tested by our demanding Quality Management.
HighPower-Technology

Absolutely safe
Lamellar spring
- minimal insertion and extraction force
- reduction of electrical resistance
- self-cleaning
- optimal contacting; at least 10 contact points

Box terminal

plug2power
Screwless connection technology
- saves time during mounting
- screwless plug2power terminals
- open contact terminals in delivered state
- quick and easy infeed of the cable
- closing and opening the contact terminal with the press of a finger
- simple connection with colour coded clamps
- maintenance-free and wear-free contacts
Recording of all cable cross-sections according to standard
- 16 A: up to 2.5 mm2 flexible, up to 4 mm2 single wire
- 32 A: up to 6.0 mm2 flexible, up to 10 mm2 single wire
Resilient construction
- for difficult conditions
- special impact resistance
- high tensile strength of the terminals
- contact terminals are shock-proof and vibration-resistant
turn2fix
Contact screws
- all combi-slot screws accessible from one direction
- undetachable, opened upon delivery
Tool-less assembly
- multi-ramp locking system
- simple mounting, turning the connection housing locks it in place = time saving
Demounting
Press down release button with the screwdriver (1.) and push it under the plug (2.)
Turn the red connection part in the same direction (3.)
Assembly is simple and quick with the help of the multi-ramp locking system:
1. Put the „ OPEN “ labels of the top and bottom opposite each other and plug the top onto the bottom
2. Turn the top to the right until it locks in place – finished!

IP Degrees of protection according to EN 60529
CEE plug connections with rated currents 16A and 32A correspond to degree of protection IP 44 or IP 67; 63 A and 125 A of degree of protection IP67.
Sockets and connectors are tested with and without plugs or connectors inserted.
Plugs and connectors are tested in an inserted state (to a socket or connector).
The first code number specifies the degree of protection against foreign bodies entering; the second code number specifies the degree of protection against water entering.
Thus e.g. electrical equipment, which is used unprotected outside, must at least have IPX3.
Connecting terminals
Pilot contact
The pilot contact for currents of 63 A and 125 A is an auxiliary contact – closes lagging when inserting and opens leading when removing – and serves for electric locking. A lock prevents insertion and removal under loads. CEE connectors and sockets with pilot contacts have longer phase contacts and do not guarantee finger protection; this has to be provided by a lock.

Plastic
Our plug connections are made primarily from PA6 as well as from PC/ABS. These technical plastics have the following special characteristics:
- excellent impact resistance in connection with high degrees of stiffness and strength
- high heat stability
- very good insulating characteristics
- high disruptive strength
- high wear resistance
- high weather resistance
- very good chemical resistance to a large number of different chemicals
- free of cadmium and halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, astatine)
- in conformance with RoHS Directive 2002/95/EG
Temperatures
IEC/EN 60309 is valid for CEE plug connections which are used at an ambient temperature not normally outside the range of –25 °C to +40 °C.
Our CEE plug connections themselves have a temperature resistance from –25 °C to +80 °C, short term 1h +100 °C. The contacts can heat up by 50°C under testing conditions.
Contacts
The contacts are manufactured from a copper zinc alloy. This has very good characteristics for contact connections such as:
- high degree of electric conductivity 15 m / (Ohm mm2);
- high tensile strength 103 kN / mm2;
- high corrosion resistance in industrial atmospheres, . . .
- increased corrosion resistance in nickel-plated version to sea water, water vapours, sulphur compounds, as well as in agriculture, dairies . .
- in conformance with RoHS Directive 2002/95/EG
The connectors and sockets 63 A and 125 A contain a CuBe lamellar spring with optimal contacting and corrosion protection
